My passion has always been for creating
new music. I realised long ago, that for me, learning how to sing, play
and interpret other people’s music were all fine ideas, but nowhere
near as interesting, fulfilling and enjoyable as making it up yourself. Since then I’ve found no reason to change my mind.
I’ve written a lot of music and songs. I
have mostly been involved in theatre projects, some dance, a bit of
television, a little teaching/workshop leading, various bands and
recording projects.
Most of my work has been Wales based, but I have also
worked regularly abroad. In 2004 I formed Côr y Gors, a choir/ensemble who are kind
enough to sing the songs I write for them. There’s also a band called
Whistler.
I undertake commissions: Written music for singers, intrumentalists and ensembles, songs, soundtracks and incidental music. From conception, through to the recording and post production processes. I would also be happy to discuss any other musical needs and interests you may have.
